Maggie Hindley is a United Reformed Church Minister based at the London Inter Faith Centre. Her areas of work include Christian Zen, Scriptural Reasoning and highlighting the plight of destitute migrants in London. A community worker by background, her previous ministry was with two churches in Camden, both of which became intensively engaged with the neighbourhood through their sharing of their buildings.
She has a multi-faith strand to her family life, with a Muslim daughter, son-in-law and grandson.
Sughra Ahmed is a Research Fellow in the Policy Research Centre of the Islamic Foundation. Her current area of research is exploring the migratory and settlement experiences of first generation Muslim women and men in the UK. Sughra is a Trustee of the Inter Faith Network UK, an advisor to the Muslim Youth Helpline, Trustee of the Leicester Council of Faiths and an advisor to FaithxChange which is concerned with young people of faith who are engaged in civil society. Sughra has a BA (Hons) in English Language and Literature and an MA in Islamic Studies, she is a qualified Chaplain and holds a Diploma in Islamic Jurisprudence. She regularly contributes to debates in the media both locally and nationally.
We are committed to furthering positive interactions between Christian and Muslim communities. In particular, we aim to foster the formation of Christian and Muslim dialogue groups.
Community and Public Affairs Projects:

We instituted a dialogue group of young Christians and Muslims in Yorkshire in December 2006.

Women's Retreats - Dilly Baker and Wahida Shaffi (former Youth member), organised two retreats for Muslim and Christian women to reflect on how spirituality underpins their lives as women and how women of another faith approach the same questions that life throws up. Shaykh Ibrahim Mogra, is Chair of the Muslim Council of Britain's Interfaith Relations Committee. Ibrahim, as well as working with the MCB, works closely with clergy in Leicester in clergy training and is a founder member of Christian-Muslim, Muslim-Hindu Leicester Family of Abraham dialogue group (Jews, Christians and Muslims). He is also a member of the European Council of Religious Leaders.
