Eddie Tulasiewicz, Head of Policy at the National Churches Trust, was our guest speaker at an online meeting this week to discuss church contributions to economy and society. According to research by the National Churches Trust (NCT), the annual social and economic value of church buildings alone to the UK is worth around £55 billion.
Eddie shared research and analysis from the NCT report, ‘The House of Good: measuring the impact of churches on economy and society’. The report illustrates the incredible work undertaken in churches and Christian places of worship from drug and alcohol support, food banks, financial advice and youth clubs to after school care and credit unions. Church buildings are fundamental assets in local communities diligently labouring to support communities to thrive.
